J. A. DANGELO III
I am John A. Dangelo III, a former marine turned anti-war advocate. I was deployed in 2011 as a truck driver to Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Obama wanted his surge and we were going to give it to him, and those Afghans, good and hard. My company was responsible for providing fuel security to Afghan owned and operated trucks. Our company sustained a handful of injuries, dozens of IED’s and gun fights, and caused several civilian casualties.
Today I’m a nurse in an emergency department. I’m a new dad. I’m a student. I’m undertaking this passion project of writing about my thoughts on the war state. I hope to contribute to the on-going efforts of a great many who are working to shine a light on the atrocities of the empire. Perhaps more importantly, I want to reach my fellow Christians who continue to reject the peaceful nature of their messiah in exchange for patriotism and state-worship.
